Ecofan 800 has a thermoelectric module which acts as a small generator to power the wood stove fan's motor. When this generator experiences a heat differential between its top and bottom surfaces, it pumps out electricity. The bottom surface of the module is heated by the base of the fan while the top of the module is kept cooler by the fan's top cooling fins.
Ecofan 800 starts automatically and adjusts it's speed with the wood stove temperature and generates up to 100 Cubic Feet of air per minute.Ecofans are made from anodised aluminium that will not rust. Bi-metal strips in the base of the Ecofans help prevent the fan from overheating.

Customer Review:
I just wanted to say, what fabulous service – the Ecofan 800 arrived in record time, and we couldn’t wait to light the woodburner and wait to see if it worked! We were like big kids, going “Look! It’s starting to spin!” We weren’t entirely convinced that it would make a difference, but it does, the heat is much more evenly distributed around the house, the sitting room doesn’t get overwhelmingly hot any more, and upstairs (formerly known as the Polar region) is much warmer.
So, thanks, a worthwhile gadget!
