Most solar systems require a pressurised system kit, allowing the panel to be mounted at the highest point in the system. This is normally mandatory if the panel is mounted on the main roof of a house. The pressurised system kit is designed to make installation of a sealed system as easy as possible and includes the following components: filling loop (incl. double check valve, flexible hose and shut-off valve), pressure gauge, 3 bar pressure relief valve and a 12 litre expansion vessel including mounting bracket.
Manufactured from carbon steel, the Zilmet solar expansion vessels are coated with a protective epoxy paint and have a carbon steel clenched flange. Attached to this flange inside the vessel is a fixed SBR rubber bag shaped membrane with the opening of the bag secured to the flange to prevent the water coming into contact with the metal walls of the vessel.
