The high-spec solar hot water system kit includes:
20 tube 58mm evacuated tube solar hot water panel.
New solar cylinder to replace your existing hot water cylinder.
High End STDC Electronic controller with digital temp display.
5 Liters Glycol antifreeze.
Circulation pump including isolation valves.
Pressure vessel kit (including filling loop, isolation valves and double check valve, pressure gauge and pressure relief valve).
10m of 10mm diameter Armaflex high temp insulation.
10m of 10mm copper pipe.
Solar filling pump.
One way valve 15mm (check valve).
There are a few other items that you will usually need to complete the installation - pipe clips, pipe fittings and reducers and solder etc). Some soldering is normally required, although the use of 10mm copper minimises the number of joints and therefore the amount of soldering involved. In fact, it is possible to avoid soldering altogether if compression joints are used throughout.
Please note: Only use compression fittings on the panel itself. Solder fittings must NOT be used as during stagnation (like a power cut) the solder will melt and the fitting will fall apart!
